Description
  • Interacting with dining staff to provide advice on equipment operation.
  • Assisting in major repairs, upgrades, and large-scale maintenance tasks.
  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance checks as per manufacturers’ recommendations.
  • Providing on-site support during special events and off-hours.
  • Installing new equipment, repairing leaks, maintaining wiring controls, and replacing defective parts.
  • Managing inventory and ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
Responsibilities

Key skills and knowledge areas include:

  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen equipment.
  • Repair and maintenance of various kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
  • Buffet electrical set up during events.
  • Understanding of DM/HACCP inspection requirements.
  • Technical knowledge in kitchen hood separation and Ansul system operation.
  • Basic Food Hygiene training.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm and firefighting systems.
  • Awareness of DM hygiene requirements.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manuals for operations and installations.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Quick response to emergency repair calls.
  • Soldering and blazing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Attention to detail in equipment servicing and installation.
  • Skills in laying electrical and sound cables, setting up audiovisual equipment, and completing work orders accurately.
